Tamaki Primary Visit North-Head.

Students of Tamaki Primary School, at the Cannon on top of
North-Head. Wednesday 12th March,2014.
Wednesday the 12th of March 2014, students of Tamaki Primary school, visit national historic war sight in devonport known as North-Head. students,teacher and Parents of Tamaki Primary travelled by bus,ferry and foot.
Studying surviving artifacts from the war acknowledging the bravery of the soldiers. As we question a student named Maopa why are they going to North head Maopa respond saying that they are going to North Head to discover the life of war.
Students were provided with specific sets of instructions and a designated adult to supervise behavior and ensure their safety throughout the day. Transport was waiting patiently outside for the tamaki students to be settled in.
They arrived at the Ferry Terminal in the remarkable city of Auckland, searching for their Ferry to arrive ready to take them to their location. They were taken across the waitemata harbour as they reached their destination to observe the trip up complaining about the predictably tiring journey ahead of us.
Her comment was accompanied by a breathless Caprice, a year 8 student in Room 8 “To be honest all though it was tiring over all the money that I used to pay for the trip and the walk was all worth it.”
Alison recounted “As I walked up the mountain I was tired and I knew that I would walk up that huge mountain and come back down and that was so cool how we went into the tunnels. The only bad thing was everyone screaming like girls even the the boys!”
The trip to North-Head was full of positive events and fun adventures to discovered as we explore further into the mountain.
