Kiwi Can

Today, 20 August 2014, we went to Kiwi Can and I enjoyed it because it has helped me developed my team work skills and it also helped me a lot. To those who don't know what Kiwi Can is, Kiwi can is people that go around schools and they talk to us about what being HONEST,INTEGRITY,RESPECT,TRUST and many more but this is what we have learned so far with the lessons we have done.

In the last few weeks we talked about HONEST and INTEGRITY. I have learnt that being honest is when you tell the truth and its always good to tell the truth because if you tell the truth and you do the right thing then your teachers, parents and others will trust you and then you won't get in trouble. I also learnt what Integrity means and it means doing the right thing even when know one is looking. So that means, if you know you done something wrong then it will be a good idea if you step up to it and be honest, then you won't have to focus the consequences and then the teacher won't need to worry about anything.

We now are focusing on what responsibility means and we had an good lesson. First we done some team work activity and then the talking came in about what responsibility means and I have learnt that it means doing something even when you don't get told to do it. So that means being helpful and walking people that need help walking across the road or it also means helping your mum do the chores around the house. It also means being on to something your mean't to do and making sure you do stuff that are sensible and reliable.

Once we finish our lesson we then took a look at where we are on our scores. It was based on our Listening Positive Attitude,Participation,Respect and Team Work. We got a 9/10 for Respect, a 10/10  for participation and we got it form these lovely visitors I think just from the Kiwi Can Staff Participation and a 10/10 for listening. We also got a 10/10 for team work and Positive Attitude and we got a 10/10 for listening and we were really happy.

Room 8 was proud because we were coming 4th place but I think we manged to come first because we got 4 10/10 and I think all we need to work on is our respect bit but I think Room 8 can do much better and we are all looking forward for the next lesson because we want to get that 9 to be a 10 and to always remain like that. Thank you Kiwi Can!!! Your the best
